Description

Quick and easy mummy dogs made in the air fryer for a crispy finish.


Ingredients

  • 8 hot dogs
  • 8 strips of crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Optional: Mustard or ketchup for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  3. Cut each triangle lengthwise into a thin strip.
  4. Wrap one strip of dough around each hot dog, resembling mummy bandages. Leave a small gap for the ‘face’.
  5. Place the wrapped hot dogs in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Brush the dough with the beaten egg wash and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Use small pieces of dough or edible eyes to create faces if desired.
  9. Serve hot with mustard or ketchup.

Notes

  • For crispier mummy dogs, you can add a few extra minutes to the cooking time, checking frequently to prevent burning.
  • Ensure the dough strips are thin enough to cook through evenly.
